Convertire file .mpc
Problema: convertire un file audio Musepack (estensione .mpc) in un altro formato più diffuso (mp3, o meglio ogg).
Solitamente per le conversioni audio utilizzo soundKonverter, un agile programmino con una bella gui, che si trova nei repository. Altra possibilità è quella di sfruttare audiokonverter, un comodissimo service menu per Kde. Il problema in entrambi i casi è la mancanza di mppdec, il pacchetto incaricato di decodificare i file mpc. Purtroppo non conosco nessun repository per Ubuntu che lo contenga. Ma non c’è problema, è un semplicissimo eseguibile!
Lo si può scaricare direttamente dal sito di Musepack (per tranquillità ho scaricato la versione “static linked”), poi sarà sufficiente eseguire le seguenti operazioni:
- scompattare il file zip, al cui interno troviamo un solo file, “mppdec-static”
- rendere eseguibile il file: tasto destro sul file -> proprietà -> permessi -> segnare “Eseguibile”
- rinominare il file in “mppdec”
- spostarlo in /usr/bin/ (naturalmente è necessario avere i permessi di root)
Ecco fatto! Ora siamo in grado di convertire tutti gli mpc che vogliamo…
